Store porcelain dishes: pay attention to temperatures

The high quality of the materials used and professional workmanship make MPS porcelain durable through the years. Nevertheless, it is recommended to take the maximum care of the tableware, because, like any object, use and time can alter its perfection and charm. Let’s take a look at some tips for maintaining the beauty of porcelain items longer, ensuring their functionality and quality for your presentations.

Porcelain plates and baking dishes can be safely used in freezers and microwaves, however sudden changes in temperature, which may cause thermal shock and breakage, should be avoided, for example, by taking the product out of the freezer and putting it directly into the hot oven and vice versa, or by placing it still hot on cold surfaces. Also avoid putting cold liquids in hot porcelain.

In addition, be sure to never expose porcelain dishes and dinnerware to direct flames such as a gas stove. To cook directly in a porcelain dish and serve your dishes comfortably, without dispersing the heat and flavor, in addition to the oven, you can try our Gastronorn Induction line, which allows the use of induction cooking.

How to clean porcelain dishes efficiently

MPS porcelain tableware is easy to clean and therefore offers excellent hygienic properties due to its long-lasting, very smooth and non-absorbent glazed surface.

Hand washing is the best option when cleaning porcelain dishes, but our products are also dishwasher safe. However, it is still helpful to make sure not to overload the machine and to use only recommended liquid detergents. It’s important to remember that porcelain dishes should not touch each other during the wash cycle, so when placing, leave space between dishes.

If porcelain items and dishes have encrusted food stains, it is advisable to immerse them in hot soapy water for a few minutes, followed by gentle scrubbing with a sponge to remove the dirt. This operation must be done with caution: do not rub aggressively and do not use abrasive cleaners. If the dirt is persistent and difficult to remove, leave the item in water longer.

A good alternative for removing harder dirt, such as tea stains in cups, is to use a soft sponge, sprinkle baking soda on the stain and gently scrub the area to remove stains, dirt and marks. A salt and vinegar solution might also be helpful. In any case, it is not advisable to use abrasive tools to clean porcelain dishes.
